Level up your plying skills by exploring differential plying. Understanding what it is and how to apply it to your own will help you create more consistent plied yarns and know when and how to troubleshoot when things go awry. We will explore the elements of plied yarns, from a balanced ply all the way to a supercoil. While we will be covering several art yarn techniques, this class is less about spinning art yarns, and more about exploring how differences in tensioning your singles as you ply affects the look of a plied yarn. Whether you’re a new-ish spinner looking to improve your plying skills or an experienced spinner wanting to master this fundamental part of spinning, there is something in this class for every spinner.
