Come learn the Ply Split Braiding technique and make a colorful bracelet. The technique is from the Thar Desert in India/Pakistan and used by the camel herders to make ties for their pack camels. Peter Collingwood researched and documented this and brought it to the textile world. I will prepare the cords and teach you how to use the gripfid tool (all of this supplied in your kit) to split the 4ply cords and pull cords through and create designs.

Students willl learn the history of the technique and a great start in how to apply it to make both flat braids and the endless possibilities of 3D objects.
